About the Opportunity
The Project Officer, Spinal Cord Injury will lead and support the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategic initiatives that advance the statewide delivery of the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Model of Care across NSW.

Working collaboratively the State Spinal Cord Injury Service (SSCIS) Network Manager, clinicians, and key stakeholders, the role will strengthen integration between specialist SCI services, non‑specialist hospitals, and community‑based supports to improve patient outcomes and continuity of care.

The Project Officer will promote, develop and monitor strategic change management programs and initiatives that will improve the level and quality health services delivery in Local Health Districts (LHD) and Hospitals across NSW. This role will also provide executive support functions to the NSW SSICS Network Manager. In addition, executive support functions on special projects within the portfolio will be required.

Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated relevant spinal cord injury experience.
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide advice which is strategic and add value to a project.
  3. Proven ability to provide executive support to a diverse range of project teams in a public sector environment.
  4. Demonstrated experience in project management and the implementation of statewide projects, frameworks and/or initiatives.
  5. High level skills in conceptual and systemic thinking on the successful application of innovative approaches.
  6. Sound knowledge of the health system in NSW and the national context and specific knowledge and understanding of issues related to spinal cord injury.
  7. Demonstrated ability to interpret complex information rapidly and accurately.
  8. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a broad range of external stakeholders including clinicians, health service managers and consumers, to represent and present on behalf of the Agency for Clinical Innovation.
