- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia
- Some experience in Emergency Medicine, ICU or Anaesthetics (Not as an Observer)
- Advanced ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.
- Completed at least 2 Post Graduate Years, one of which must have been completed in an Australian Public Hospital (not as an observer).
- Advanced organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
- Excellent clinical knowledge, skills and team work and demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment.
- Ability to recognise the acutely unwell patient and to initiate immediate management and institute Basic Life Support
- A professional attitude and flexibility in work role with a preparedness and ability to participate in after-hours overtime and on-call rosters and demonstrated good organisational and time management skills. Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and computer skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
