This position involves general experience in labour ward management and gynaecology operating. Provide effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment in inpatients and outpatient areas in the public health organisation.

Gosford Hospital is the principal referral hospital and trauma centre for the Central Coast, with over 500 inpatient beds and 24/7 access to the emergency department and operating theatres. A recent $368 million dollar redevelopment delivered a new emergency department, ICU, nuclear medicine facility, special care nursery and expanded medical imaging services.

Wyong Hospital is an acute major metropolitan hospital with over 300 beds providing inpatient, outpatient and emergency services to residents in the northern region of the Central Coast. A recent $200 million expansion delivered a new emergency department, ICU, paediatric unit, inpatient wards, theatres and expanded medical imaging services. Another development is the Wyong Women’s Centre, due for completion at the end of 2024. This will provide more accommodation for antenatal and gynaecology outpatient clinics.  In addition, there will be two procedure rooms for more outpatient procedures to be performed,

In conjunction with the University of Newcastle, CCLHD has recently opened the Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute on the Gosford Hospital campus, providing additional opportunities in training and research.
