Remuneration: $34.37 - $35.77 per hour

What you'll be doing
In this high-paced customer-focused role, you will operate the switchboard and paging systems that keep hospital communications running smoothly. You will provide professional, timely and courteous assistance while supporting critical hospital operations.
Operate switchboards, paging systems and communication consoles
Handle incoming calls, queries and transfers with excellent customer service
Update and maintain staff rosters for after-hours and on-call coverage
Perform administrative tasks including patient registrations and data updates
Respond to emergencies following established hospital procedures

Selection Criteria:
Proven experience in a high paced administrative role undertaking complex and multistep tasks, including the ability to prioritise tasks.
Experience in a customer service role demonstrating superior interpersonal & communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, hospital teams and the general public
Proven ability to follow processes with a high attention to detail to ensure that tasks are completed without error in a high-quality timely manner
Ability to multitask and remain calm in high pressure, time sensitive situations
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work flexibly and efficiently in a team with minimal supervision, escalating concerns appropriately to the switchboard supervisor
Willingness to work at both Blacktown & Mt Druitt Hospital Sites as required
