What you'll be doing
The advertised role involves providing high-level assessment and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders in patients. The position ensures evidence-based interventions across paediatric and adult patients within a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
- Provide evidence-based Speech Pathology interventions.
- Deliver care with accurate documentation and timely reporting.
- Participate in handovers using ISBAR principles.
- Maintain clinical time in line with performance indicators.
- Engage in research, professional development, and staff education.
How to Apply
Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Registration: Eligible for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in the management of adults with acquired swallowing disorders, and experience in the administration of objective swallowing assessment procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of adults with acquired communication impairments.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of Evidence Based Practice, commitment to professional development and experience in quality management or research.
- Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
