What you'll be doing
The advertised role involves providing high-level assessment and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders in patients. The position ensures evidence-based interventions across paediatric and adult patients within a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

  • Provide evidence-based Speech Pathology interventions.
  • Deliver care with accurate documentation and timely reporting.
  • Participate in handovers using ISBAR principles.
  • Maintain clinical time in line with performance indicators.
  • Engage in research, professional development, and staff education.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology   
  • Registration: Eligible for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia  

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated experience in the management of adults with acquired swallowing disorders, and experience in the administration of objective swallowing assessment procedures.
  2. Demonstrated experience in the management of adults with acquired communication impairments.
  3. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Demonstrated excellent time management and organisational skills.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of Evidence Based Practice, commitment to professional development and experience in quality management or research.
  6. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
