Social Worker Team Leader - RACE/RACE Extend Team, Geriatric Medicine Department

1. Demonstrated high level clinical experience in aged care social work services with an understanding of age related illnesses, Elder abuse, Guardianship matters, grief and bereavement, accommodation placements and complex familial presentations.
2. Demonstrated ability and skills in team leadership and management including extensive experience in staff and student supervision.
3. Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement and skills in providing training and education.
4. Well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills and high level computer literacy.
5. Demonstrated excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels.
6. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
7. Demonstrated understanding of issues associated with working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse client groups.
8. Unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence and ability to participate in the After Hours Crisis On-Call Social Work Service.
