Social Worker Team Leader

1. Demonstrated high level knowledge and skills in social work assessment, crisis intervention and counselling with patients and their families in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with demonstrated skills relevant to coping with illness, disability and bereavement.
2. Demonstrated experience in management and team leadership, including experience in staff and student supervision.
3. Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement and skills in providing training and education.
4. Well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills and high level computer literacy.
5. Demonstrated excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels
6. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
7. Demonstrated understanding of issues associated with working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse client group.
8. Participation in the After Hours Crisis On Call Social Work Service
