What you'll be doing
The Nurse Manager at the WSLHD Diabetes and Endocrine Centre leads and coordinates patient care, ensuring quality service delivery and system improvements.

  • Leading and managing staff development, training, and performance reviews.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures for service delivery.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure adaptable services for clinical needs.
  • Managing budgets, staffing, and the booking system efficiently.
  • Ensuring compliance with health standards and promote patient safety.

Essential Criteria:

  • Registration: Current Registered Nurse division 1 Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

 

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated well developed leadership skills and highly developed communication skills including the ability to manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise
  2. Recent management experience with skill in leading staff and managing services in the relevant setting, supported by a relevant tertiary management qualification and/or work experience
  3. Demonstrated ability to undertake planning for and monitor performance in areas of responsibility for both individuals and teams.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage change and guide others through change processes
  5. Demonstrated ability to identify the need for and initiate the development of policy relating to the nursing service.
  6. Proficiency in the use of Information Technology (IT) systems Including Cerner and Microsoft applications that support the role.
