Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist Level 3 & Social Worker Level 3,
Remuneration: Dependent on Qualifications.
Hours Per Week: 38
Location: Mount Druitt
Where you'll be working
- Home-based visits across the Western Sydney Local Health District.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Work closely with community health and family services.
- Partner with mental health, drug, and alcohol service providers.
What you'll be doing
- Conduct home-based mental health and drug/alcohol assessments.
- Develop and implement evidence-based care plans for families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external services.
- Provide specialist interventions to families in crisis.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist or Social Worker.
Selection Criteria:
- Proven significant clinical experience and practice in the assessment, management, treatment and service provision within Child & Youth Mental Health Services and/or family interventions and/or Mental Health Services with the ability to demonstrate high level of professional cmpetency including demonstrated ability to deliver broad range of psycho-social mental health treatments to families
- Sound understanding of and experience in working within the contemporary principles of family focused integrated treatment including safety planning and risk assessment within the dynamics of intra-familial child abuse and neglect.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to the needs of families under stress, particularly related to their mental health and or drug and alcohol related health issues.
- Proven effective high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and problem solving skills including significant knowledge and demonstrated experience of medico-legal systems, processes and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work an independent senior clinician as well as work within a multidisciplinary team with experience in building and sustaining collaborative partnerships with other government and non -government organisations.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence -- Class C Unrestricted
