Remuneration: $32.27 - $38.44 per hour
Hours Per Week: 21
Working Hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm, must be available Tuesday and Wednesday. Remaining working days are negotiable.

What you'll be doing
As a Health Information Release Officer, you will be responsible for managing and processing a high volume of Release of Information (ROI) requests in accordance with NSW Health legislation, privacy requirements and organisational policies. You will play a critical role in ensuring sensitive health information is released accurately, securely and within mandated timeframes.

  • Assess, process and coordinate ROI requests from patients, legal representatives, courts, police, insurers, coronial services, healthcare providers and internal stakeholders

  • Review, analyse and extract relevant information from electronic and paper-based health records while ensuring legislative compliance

  • Liaise with patients, consumers, hospital staff and external agencies to facilitate timely responses and resolve enquiries

  • Maintain accurate records, tracking systems and documentation within corporate record management systems, including HPRM

  • Monitor request timeframes, meet key performance indicators and support auditing, reporting and service continuity across the team
