Remuneration: $65.89 - $67.49 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
The Head of Department Podiatry:
- Works locally with other facility Allied Health Heads of Department, Head of Vascular Surgery and other medical leads and the Facility Director of Allied Health/General Manager to enhance services, standards and quality across Westmead Hospital.
- Provides the planning and development needs of the high risk foot (podiatry) service from a financial, organisational, clinical, strategic, physical and human resource perspective for the facility.
- Works across WSLHD with other Podiatry Heads of Department/Leads to enhance high risk foot and podiatry services, standards and quality across the district.
- Is a member of the allied health senior leadership team for both the facility and WSLHD and is expected to work collaboratively across professions, facilities and services to collectively improve culture, employee wellbeing and ways of working to create a positive workplace environment.
How to Apply
Essential Criteria:
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Podiatry
- Registration in line with Award requirements: AHPRA – General Registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Podiatry and current Podiatry registration with AHPRA in addition to substantial postgraduate Podiatry clinical practice experience.
- Demonstrated experience in operational management and clinical leadership of Podiatry and High Risk Foot Services within a complex health environment including an understanding of Podiatry clinical and workforce planning issues.
- Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
- Demonstrated experience supervising and managing staff and team performance.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in service management functions including effective management of human and financial resources.
- Demonstrated high level communication skills (oral and written) including advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated experience implementing Evidence Based Practice (EBP) into service planning and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience and a strong commitment to teaching, research and staff training and building this capacity within the Podiatry workforce.
