What you'll be doing
As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you will deliver advanced clinical services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders, with a key focus on palliative care and end-of-life support.
· Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of communication and dysphagia
· Deliver specialised care within the Supportive and Palliative Care Unit
· Apply advanced clinical reasoning and independent decision-making
· Educate patients, families, and staff on treatment and management strategies
· Contribute to quality improvement, research, and clinical education initiatives

Essential Criteria:
· License: Current NSW Drivers Licence
· Qualification: Tertiary Qualification in Speech Pathology and Eligible for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia
Selection Criteria:
1. Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology that provides eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia
2. Demonstrated advance clinical knowledge, skill and clinical experience independently managing adult inpatients and outpatients in acute and subacute settings including supportive and end of life care.
3. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and experience in leading and developing quality improvement initiatives and implementing evidence-based practice.
4. Evidence of excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including advanced conflict resolution skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, applying independent professional judgement and high-level reasoning skills while working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
6. Strongly developed time management and organisational skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands.
7. Demonstrated experience and skill in clinical supervision and teaching staff and students.
