About the Opportunity
Are you looking to expand your experience in providing education and training to pharmacists and in developing the 2026 pharmacy interns? We have an opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to join us as the Senior Pharmacist – Workforce and Training on a temporary full-time basis until 30 June 2026.
What You'll be Doing
To oversee and co-ordinate the education and training requirements and competency assessment of pharmacy staff including pharmacists, intern pharmacists, pharmacy assistants/technicians and pharmacy students. General leadership, clinical and/or dispensary pharmacy duties may be required by the Director of Pharmacy as part of the role. The pharmacy has responsibility for providing a comprehensive clinical service to ensure safe, effective, outcome based and customer focused care to the patients of the hospital

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia. This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees.

Demonstrated teaching skills including records of teaching programs; previous experience with developing and applying learning plans; as well as undertaking of pharmacist and intern clinical assessments and other competency assessments
Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult effectively, advise and provide assistance to professional peers and other staff. Including computer literacy and ability to use health information systems
Demonstrated participation in development and review of medication and other related policies.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff in the delivery of high quality pharmacy service within a tertiary referral hospital
