What you'll be doing
The provision of high quality Nutrition and Dietetic services to paediatric and neonate patients attending Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals.
To identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice for paediatric and neonate patients, develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities in paediatric and neonate nutrition.
Provision of high level clinical expertise and knowledge in the nutritional management of paediatric and neonate patients, acting as a consultant to medical, nursing and other staff. To provide support to the Department Head as required.

Essential Criteria:
Qualification: Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics, acceptable for membership of the Dietitians’ Association of Australia (DAA).
Selection Criteria:
Eligible for full membership of the Dietitian’s Association of Australia.
Extensive post graduate clinical experience in the nutritional management of complex paediatric and neonate patients and up to date knowledge of dietetic practice.
Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and on call, if required.
