What you'll be doing

This Senior Clinical Dietitian role will be working as part of the Westmead Dietetics Team, WSLHD. This position is responsible for providing patient centred and high quality nutrition services to clients, including to:
- Deliver advanced nutrition care across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Lead quality improvement, research and accreditation projects
- Mentor and supervise junior staff and dietetics students
- Drive service development and evidence-based practice
- Educate health professionals and contribute to clinical excellence

Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated extensive post graduate clinical dietetics experience, including specialist knowledge in a particular area of dietetics and/or a broad generalist knowledge of clinical nutrition.
- Demonstrated evidence of providing advice to managers on clinical service evaluation and application of evidence base practice in service development.
- Demonstrated experience in the clinical supervision of staff and evidence of contribution to education activities related to an area of expertise.
- Well-developed communication, coaching and facilitation skills. Ability to work as an effective team member.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills. Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
- Able to display good computer skills and experience with Cbord or equivalent and Cerner.
- Experience in designing, implementing, leading, developing and evaluating research/quality improvement projects.
