Remuneration: $36.38 - $51.08 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)
Location: Cumberland Hospital, North Parramatta

What you'll be doing
Deliver expert nursing care and public health leadership in communicable disease control within Western Sydney. Engage with communities, health services, and partners to ensure effective disease prevention and response.
- Provide high-quality patient/client care in communicable disease control
- Deliver public health advice to communities, services, and partners
- Investigate infectious disease cases, outbreaks, and foodborne illness
- Support legal and clinical frameworks under NSW health legislation
- Participate in on-call rosters, training, research, and working groups

Essential Requirements:
Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated knowledge of current issues in communicable disease and experience in communicable disease control
- Demonstrated recent experience working in Public Health or Infection Control
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor other staff
- Demonstrated organisational and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with the public, Health Professionals, Aged Care Facilities and other stakeholders external to the Public Health Unit
- Computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office package and experience with computerised data management systems
