Where you'll be working 
Join the Health Informatics and Records Service (HIRS) within Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) – a team at the forefront of the digital health journey. You’ll support the quality and reliability of patient information across major hospitals, contributing to safe and seamless patient care.

What you'll be doing
As a PAS Data Quality Officer, you will ensure that patient data captured in WSLHD’s Patient Administration System (iPM) and Electronic Health Record is complete, accurate and up to date. You’ll play a key role in resolving duplicate records, managing patient identifiers, and supporting a range of health information functions.

  • Investigate and resolve duplicate patient registrations in iPM

  • Perform critical updates to patient identifiers (e.g. name, DOB, address)

  • Monitor and action data quality reports from NSW Health and AIR

  • Provide support for digitisation of paper-based healthcare records

  • Maintain tracking systems for digital and paper records across facilities

Selection Criteria:

  1. Experience in an administrative or customer service position and/or knowledge and experience in health administrative functions.

  2. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise your workload so that you are able to meet deadlines.

  3. Proven attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors.

  4. Developed computer skills and/or experience with document imaging, patient administrations systems and Microsoft Office suite.

  5. Excellent customer service skills with sound oral and written communication skills.

  6. Demonstrated ability to work as a productive team member, contribute to a positive team culture and work across all WSLHD facilities as required.

  7. Demonstrated understanding of privacy and confidentiality principles and how they are applied in the hospital setting.
