What you'll be doing
As the Level 3 Social Work Team Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the TACP Social Work team and ensuring timely, effective services for patients and families.
Lead and supervise social work staff and students, fostering professional growth
Oversee complex psychosocial assessments and provide expert consultation to multidisciplinary teams
Drive quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service planning and evaluation
Deliver psychosocial interventions including counselling, advocacy, and crisis support
Collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to ensure safe, coordinated care

Essential Requirements
Qualification: Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated experience in the delivery of social work services in Aged Care and or Rehabilitation, in a hospital or community setting, with demonstrated high level skills in psychosocial assessments, adjustment to illness / disability, new diagnosis, Elder abuse, Guardianship matters, NDIS and complex patients and familial presentations.
Experience in leadership, including experience in staff and/or student supervision.
Demonstrated well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills, and high-level computer literacy, and understanding of developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement and skills in providing training and education.
Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stake holders throughout all organisational levels.
Ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
Current Driver’s licence valid in Australia and Participation in the After Hours Crisis on Call Social Work Service.
