Remuneration: $65,364 - $75,168 per annum

Location: Cumberland Campus
Extras: 9-day fortnight, uniform and PPE supplied

Join the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) Engineering Services team based at Cumberland Campus, providing essential support across a wide range of healthcare facilities. You'll be part of a values-driven maintenance team that ensures the safety, reliability and compliance of critical systems.

What you'll be doing
As an Electrical Tradesperson, you’ll play a key role in delivering reliable, compliant, and efficient electrical maintenance services to ensure minimal disruption to patient care and hospital operations. You’ll work across a range of electrical systems, plant and equipment, responding to urgent faults and conducting scheduled inspections and repairs.

  • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across WSLHD facilities

  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, codes, and safety legislation

  • Conduct testing, tagging, and inspections of electrical systems and assets

  • Maintain accurate records using AFM Online and manage work orders efficiently

  • Support contractor coordination, commissioning of new installations, and after-hours response

Essential Criteria:

  • License: Current NSW Electrical Trade Licence and Certificate 

    Electrical Tradesperson Level 1:Completed Apprenticeship and/or holds relevant trade certificate or equivalent 
    Electrical Tradesperson Level 2:120 hours of approved courses completed 
    Electrical Tradesperson Level 3:240 hours of approved courses completed 
    Electrical Tradesperson Level 4:360 hours of approved courses completed 

Selection Criteria:

  1. Current NSW Electrical Trade Licence and Certificate

  2. Demonstrated skill in fault diagnosis and rectification

  3. Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills, which lead to effective relationships with a diverse stakeholder group.

  4. Demonstrated experience using computer applications such as Microsoft Office and experience in/or exposure to Oracle, and computer maintenance management software including Building Management Systems.

  5. Experience in the electrical maintenance of systems, plant and equipment which is normally found in health facilities

  6. Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety obligations to staff, visitors and patients by being actively involved in the workplace.

  7. Experience in the maintenance and operation of HVAC plant and equipment, C-Bus lighting systems and PLC.
