Remuneration: $73.88 - $77.85 per hour

What you'll be doing
As a Dental Officer Level 2, you will provide high-quality general dental care across WSLHD facilities, including the management of patients requiring more complex treatment. You’ll work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contribute to oral health promotion, and support junior clinicians.
In this role you will:
Deliver comprehensive oral examinations, treatment plans and dental care, including for patients with complex needs
Work closely with senior clinicians and refer for specialist consultation where appropriate
Manage the full care pathway for your allocated patients using a team-based approach
Participate in oral health promotion activities and provide education to support preventive care
Maintain accurate dental records, uphold infection control standards and use PPE and interpreter services correctly
Engage in ongoing professional development, peer review and departmental meetings
Support Level 1 Dental Officers and contribute to continuous workplace improvements
Participate in after-hours on-call services and rotations, including potential rural rotation

Essential Requirements:
Registration: Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Dentist.
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated sound clinical and diagnostic skills.
Experience in the management of patients with complex medical conditions and complex dental needs.
Ability to exercise independent judgement and problem solving in a clinical situation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including the general public.
A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventative / population health approach to patient care.
A demonstrated ability to work within a large team and independently.
A demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
