Remuneration: $73,427 - $104,753 per annum
Hours Per Week: 24
Location: Auburn Community Health Centre


Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Cumberland and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing

  • The Integrated and Community Health Child and Family Health Service provides services to address the health and developmental needs of children in a community context. Nursing and Allied Health services are provided in a person and family centred integrated care model.
  • Occupational Therapists provide evidence based assessment and therapy intervention services to children up to 8 years of age within a community health setting and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualifications: Recognised Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)


Selection Criteria

  1. Recognised Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
  3. Demonstrated experience in providing Paediatric Occupational Therapy services.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with families to provide effective intervention for children within a limited session model.
  5. Experience working effectively with families from differing psychosocial, socioeconomic and /or culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team within a community setting.
  7. Highly developed and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English.
  8. Demonstrated ability to use a range of computer based applications.
