What you'll be doing 
In this role you will provide professional administrative support across the Blacktown Cancer and Haematology Centre. You will rotate through multiple service areas, ensuring smooth, timely and efficient operations that directly assist clinical teams and patients.

  • Deliver high level administrative functions to meet daily performance requirements

  • Support clinic operations, infusion services, radiation oncology and multidisciplinary team activities

  • Manage medical records with accuracy, privacy and confidentiality

  • Prioritise workloads and apply sound problem solving and decision making

  • Enter data, prepare reports and complete documentation within required timeframes

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment in a patient focused area with previous experience working with oncology patients and/or in a hospital setting

  2. Demonstrated advanced level computer skills including all aspects of MS Office, clinical databases and MS Outlook

  3. Demonstrated excellent attention to detail, in particular data entry processes

  4. Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with senior clinicians and external staff effectively

  5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and within required KPI’s

  6. Experience with medical terminology, and preferred experience with iPims and other hospital patient-based programs

  7. Excellence in personal work ethics in the daily performance of administrative duties
