What you'll be doing
- Frontline Customer Service.
- Patient access and flow.
- Billing and Data Collection in participation of raising revenue.
- Patient Information and record management.
- Employ a mature interpersonal skill including negotiation.
- Display empathy, respect for confidentiality, conflict de-escalation, resolution, and assertiveness.
The Patient Registration Clerk will be required to provide efficient and effective administrative support within busy, complex, confidential, and sensitive environments.
The role encompasses the requirement for verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, experience in the use of digital systems including the electronic medical record (eMR), the ability to produce high quality, accurate and timely responses in a high workload and time pressured environment, excellent time management, multi-tasking and organisational skills, the ability to work effectively in a team, and demonstrated adaptability.
WSLHD Oral Health Services is a major state-wide service, with facilities located across Westmead, Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals. Patient Registration Clerks may be expected to work at different dental clinics, if required.

Selection Criteria
- Qualifications in Health Administration and / or proven experience in providing high level administrative support for a complex clinical/corporate service.
- Demonstrated experience of strong computer/data entry skills, specifically with electronic systems helping to schedule appointments, which includes rebooking, confirming, and rescheduling.
- Advanced communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Proven capacity to self-organise and prioritise tasks to consistently meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues of relevance, sensitivity, and confidentiality, and knowing when to escalate matters of importance and/or urgency.
- Proven commitment to the provision of quality customer service.
