About the opportunity

 

At Head to Health Kids Hub, you’ll be pivotal in providing high-quality clinical services in a newly established community-based service for children aged 0 to 12.

 

The role will be anything but static. You’ll be involved in all aspects of service provision from direct contact with children and carers, providing guidance to the Multidisciplinary team and consultation to external service providers in the clinic and the community.

 

The Psychiatrist will provide expert clinical consultation and coordination to the multidisciplinary

team and external providers in a community setting, utilising an integrated child centred and family

focused approach, promoting advanced clinical practice for children and their family

members/carers.

Where you'll be working

Working in a community setting with a multidisciplinary team, the Head to Health Kids Hub Service will be delivering family focused support to children aged 0- 12 years experiencing mild to moderate mental health and well being issues.

 

You’ll be working in an environment of flexible practice and adaptive interventions with a skilled multidisciplinary team and engaged external providers.

 

You’ll have scope to shape the future direction of a new and dynamic service for children and families.

1.     Evidence of registration with the Medical Board of Australia, Fellowship of the RANZCP or equivalent and subspecialty training and relevant qualification, experience and competency in child and adolescent psychiatry for ages up to 18 years.

2.     Evidence of effective communication, including effective skills in verbal and written communication including the use of computer and telemedicine technology.

3.     Demonstrated effective collaboration, liaison, networking and advocacy as required when working with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and government and non-government departments along the patient journey.

4.     Evidence of managerial skills in performing human resource management, clinical supervision and administrative tasks as relevant to the position.

5.     Evidence of commitment to clinical best practice and professional development, mentoring colleagues, and educating other health professionals, students, patients and their families.

6.     Demonstrated ability to work within a clinical governance structure and practice utilising relevant policies, protocols and legislative frameworks.

7.     Hold a driver's licence valid in NSW and be prepared to travel as a requirement of the position.
