About the role
Are you interested in working in a Multidisciplinary team within the Drug & Alcohol field? Then this role is for you.

The Drug Court of NSW is a specialist court operating in four locations across New South Wales: Parramatta, Toronto, Sydney, and Dubbo. The Drug & Alcohol Clinician is responsible for supporting participants with their alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment, working collaboratively with the external Drug Court team, and preparing progress reports for the Judge. Reporting occurs weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, depending on the participant’s current phase in the program.

The Magistrates Early Referral into Treatment (MERIT) program is a court-based diversion program for adults facing charges in the Local Court who have issues related to their alcohol and other drug (AOD) use. MERIT provides access to a range of AOD treatment services for 12 weeks while court matters are adjourned.

The Drug & Alcohol team provides a diverse range of Drug & Alcohol services including completing assessments, developing treatment plans, developing treatment plans, report writing. This role will draw on your case management skills, counselling skills, and knowledge of trauma informed care as well as cultural competence.

The successful applicant will be working with likeminded people who are dedicated to providing the best evidence based treatment to clients.

The role is Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 05:00pm.
