Transitional Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Practitioner Rural Generalist
Blayney Multi Purpose Service

About the role
Looking for a new & exciting challenge to advance your nursing career?

A wonderful new opportunity has become available for a Rural Generalist Nurse Practitioner/Transitional Nurse Practitioner (NP/TNP) located at the Blayney Multi Purpose Service within the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD).

The role will deliver integrated care across Chronic and Complex Care, Primary Health Care and Aged Care/Palliative Care, These roles function within and across sites and services to manage acute and chronic presentations across the lifespan, addressing patient and community needs through referrals and integrated care.

The NP model delivers accessible, person-centered care in rural, regional and remote settings with limited medical cover or reliance on Virtual Care. The NP/TNP adheres to existing NSW governance and policy requirements while creating culturally safe partnerships with priority populations including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, refugee and asylum-seeking communities, people with disabilities, those experiencing homelessness or on low incomes, older people, and culturally and linguistically diverse groups.

The Rural Generalist NP works autonomously and collaboratively in advanced clinical practice. The TNP requires supervision and clinical oversight (including prescribing, diagnostics, and referrals) whilst working towards endorsement. Both roles operate within a defined scope of practice and service agreement to deliver holistic care with appropriate clinical supervision.

Join a team dedicated to championing the vital role of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in rural and remote NSW. We're seeking individuals who possess a passion for advancing the profession of NPs through advocacy, education, and support. Be part of a community committed to elevating the standards and recognition of NPs in healthcare.

Joining our team means you'll have the opportunity to maintain your clinical skills through ongoing support and access to patient care. Stay at the forefront of healthcare advancements while fulfilling your passion for patient-centered care, education, advocacy, clinical governance, and patient safety.
