Senior Speech Pathologist
Mental Health Drug & Alcohol, Orange
About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to join the Mental Health Drug & Alcohol Service at Bloomfield Hospital, Orange. One of two Senior Speech Pathologists within the service, this position combines advanced clinical practice, leadership and service development across both adult and child and adolescent mental health settings.
Offering a rare blend of clinical leadership and service diversity, this role provides the opportunity to lead speech pathology services within the adult inpatient mental health unit for three days while contributing to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for two days. Working across both settings, you will utilise advanced speech pathology skills to support communication, recovery and participation in care for consumers experiencing mental health challenges at different stages of life.
As a Senior Clinician, you will play a key role in supporting multidisciplinary teams through consultation, education and advocacy, while contributing to supervision, quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice and the ongoing development of speech pathology services. With a high level of clinical autonomy, you will help shape accessible, person-centred and recovery-oriented care for individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled Speech Pathologist seeking to make a meaningful impact within a specialist mental health environment while contributing to innovative service development and improved outcomes for consumers across the lifespan.
