Senior Occupational Therapist
Service Delivery Directorate - Child Youth & Family Division
About the role
Leadership and care are at the heart of this position which is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing high quality services to children and families of our health district.
You will deliver a high level clinical occupational therapy service (including services of a more complex nature) with advanced clinical reasoning skills in the provision of clinical care, with a focus on children.
You will support Level 1 and 2 Staff, Allied Health Assistants and students through clinical supervision and education programs, and provide a consultative service in areas of clinical expertise to local clinicians, promoting the quality and safety of the services we deliver.
You’ll always be on the lookout to find and act on opportunities for improvement in clinical practice and clinical research and develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities.
Participating in planning, implementation, evaluating and reporting on services to promote effectiveness and efficiency is part of the role and you will be integral to providing guidance and advice on future directions for the occupational therapy department.
