Safety and Quality Essentials Program Coordinator
Quality Clinical Safety and Nursing Directorate

About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Western NSW Local Health District Quality Systems Team on a full-time basis. The role will suit a person with experience in clinical quality and patient safety, with a passion to improve the health and wellbeing of rural people.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to lead the development, implementation and evaluation of key programs within the Safety & Quality Education Program (S&QEP), including the Clinical Excellence Commission’s Applied Safety & Quality Program (AS&QP). This role is instrumental in ensuring high-quality, contemporary education that meets the needs of learners across Western NSW Local Health District and supports excellence in patient care.

You will coordinate and promote the annual AS&QP selection process across Western NSW LHD, Far West LHD and NSW Ambulance, driving strong engagement and targeted participation. Working closely with subject matter experts and faculty, you will facilitate the delivery of dynamic, blended learning experiences through face-to-face, virtual and e-learning platforms, ensuring effective program outcomes across multiple sites.

This position plays a critical role in strengthening workforce capability in quality improvement and clinical safety. By supporting strategic initiatives aligned with the Quality, Clinical Safety and Nursing Directorate, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality, value-based care and continuous improvement across the organisation.
