About the role
Are you a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community? We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Community Health team, providing high-quality care to clients in their homes and clinic settings.
As a Registered Nurse in Community Health, you’ll deliver nursing care through a flexible service delivery model, both in community and ambulatory settings and will lead, direct and supervise other care roles in the team, including nurses, students and Aboriginal Health Workers (AHW) to support the delivery of quality care. You will play a key role in delivering person-centred care to a diverse range of clients.
The successful applicant will demonstrate knowledge and experience in chronic disease prevention, health improvement initiatives and other evidence based hospitalisation prevention strategies to assist in the overall health and wellbeing of the community of Western NSW. You will utilise your clinical expertise to support individuals with wound management, palliative care, catheter care, drain management, and other essential nursing interventions. Working both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to improving health outcomes within the community.
Previous experience in wound care, community nursing, palliative care, catheter care (IDC/SPC), and CVAD management would be an advantage.
Working in a small, supportive and dynamic team environment in a friendly and welcoming rural town, we will offer you friendly work hours, with weekend work minimal and dependant on community client needs.
You will be provided with a structured orientation to the facility and organisation as well as opportunities for ongoing professional development and training including our Wound Warrior learning pathway.
You will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of individuals in the community.
