Registered Nurse - Pharmacotherapy & GP Liaison (Alcohol & other Drug Program)
Mental Health Drug & Alcohol - Orange
About the role
Join our Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Program as a Registered Nurse and be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team making a real difference in people’s lives. You’ll work alongside experienced clinicians, local GPs, and valued community partners to deliver high-quality, compassionate care across the continuum of AOD treatment.
In this role, you’ll provide client-centred nursing care to people receiving pharmacotherapies, including withdrawal management, anti-craving medications, and opioid substitution therapy. You’ll build strong therapeutic relationships, support recovery journeys, and contribute to safe, evidence-based practice in a highly specialised area of nursing.
You’ll also have the opportunity to work closely with GP practices, community pharmacies, and the Addiction Medicine Service, strengthening care coordination and continuity for clients across the region.
Based at Kite Street Community Health, you’ll be an integral member of the Opioid Treatment Team and the broader Drug and Alcohol Team for Orange and surrounding areas — supported by a collaborative team culture, strong clinical leadership, and opportunities to develop your skills in addiction and opioid treatment nursing.
