About the role
Are you a Registered RN who enjoys variety in your work day? Do you value community? If the answer is yes then Brewarrina wants you!
Rural nurses work across settings in emergency, acute care, aged care, chronic disease, child health, primary care, mental health, dialysis, palliative, and health promotion. It is nurse-led care, so nurses are a key part of the decision-making process for client care and have more influence on healthcare delivery. You will be called on to respond to a broader range of emergency and health needs and therefore you are encouraged and supported to develop skills to work to the top of your scope of practice, experiencing far greater autonomy than in larger hospitals.
Being a rural nurse is extremely rewarding. You will build personal relationships with patients, taking them from start to finish. This is a rewarding role where you can be involved in people’s lives, not just their illnesses. Sharing our single goal ‘healthier rural people and thriving communities’ you will be directly influencing care across the lifespan and health continuum of the community and become a respected and valued member of their hometown.
