About the role
Be part of this exciting transition – Cowra Health Service is now hiring more passionate professionals to support patients and communities in the new space designed for innovation, integration, and excellence.

As a RN working in the Hospital in the Home program, the primary responsibilities involve patient assessment, monitoring, providing acute, and sub-acute treatment outside of an inpatient setting under the local Medical team or evolving Virtual team.

The position is an exciting evolving position working with the local multidisciplinary and virtual teams.

Working as the HITH RN you will be working in the newly developed Cowra Hospital with a designated clinic space for the HITH program. The successful applicant will be required to work independently and have a high clinical proficiency. The position also may involve Home visit in the community or to local facilities.

The HITH program receives referrals from the Emergency department, GP, and other Hospitals. The successful candidate will be required or willing to complete competencies in Cannulation, care of CVADS, Baxter, comprehensive assessments and other required competencies. The successfully applicant will be required to demonstrate effective communication with all members of the team though verbal, written and virtual platforms.

This position is a temporary part time 32 hours per fortnight on a rotating roster including weekends and Public Holidays if required.


The $110.2 million Cowra Hospital Redevelopment is now complete. The new hospital delivers modern, purpose-built facilities to meet the health needs of Cowra and surrounding communities, both now and into the future. 

The new hospital includes:

·         An Emergency Department.

·         A general medical and surgical inpatient ward.

·         A peri-operative service for various surgical procedures.

·         A maternity unit with a dedicated nursery.

·         Ambulatory care for outpatients.

·         An oral health clinic.

·         A renal dialysis unit for outpatient treatment.

·         An oncology unit for chemotherapy treatments.

·         Community Health and Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol services.

·         A medical imaging department with a CT scanner and ultrasound.
