Nyngan Multi Purpose Service

About the role
The Child and Family Health Nurse is an integral part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing a comprehensive range of child and family health services to infants, children, carers and families in pregnancy.

As custodians of the next generation in our region, our Child and Family Health nurses play a key role in the core goal of our Health District – healthier rural people and thriving communities. You’ll be in early contact with our families, providing services which may include comprehensive family assessment, monitoring growth and development of young children, education and support for parents, immunisations and referrals when necessary.

You will need to have relevant post graduate qualifications or be close to finishing (within six months), have sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people, the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team and to lead, supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care.

Midwives are encouraged to apply for the position to support the Outreach Maternity Services.
