Registered Nurse

Nyngan Multipurpose Health Service

About the role
Rural nurses work across settings in emergency, acute care, aged care, chronic disease, child health, primary care, mental health, dialysis, palliative, and health promotion. Rural nursing is nurse-led care, so nurses are a key part of the decision-making process for client care and have more influence on healthcare delivery.

Working in small teams or on your own, you are supported 24/7 by a world leading virtual care model utilising state of the art telehealth technology
and occasional onsite Visiting Medical Officers.

You may be called on to respond to a broader range of emergency and health needs, hence are encouraged and supported to develop skills to work the top of your scope of practice, experiencing far greater autonomy than in larger hospitals.

This position requires the ability to work as a Rural Generalist Registered Nurse with Triage capabilities and Advance Life Support. Work in a Team Leader role out of hours with a team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and Assistant in Nursing/ Residential Staff Assistants.
