About the role
The Nurse Practitioner role will utilise innovation, evidence-based skills, and interventions, to professionally support individuals seeking assistance with alcohol and drug use.

You will be required to manage a broad range of acute and chronic presentations across the lifespan to address patient and community needs. The Nurse Manager receives and make referrals to facilitate integrated care across disciplines or teams.

The NP will have to have or willingness to undertake Opioid Treatment Accreditation Course (OTAC) training.


You will take a trauma-informed approach and provide respectful, person-centred care, tailored to each individual’s needs. Central to your role will be employing an individualised, holistic approach to care, incorporating comprehensive care planning to address the diverse physical, emotional, and social aspects of each person’s journey.

The Community Mental Health Drug and Alcohol service is a multi-disciplinary team that provides specialist drug and alcohol services virtually and in person across the Western NSW LHD District.
