NSW Health is seeking an experienced Health Service Manager (Facility) to provide operational, clinical and people leadership at Walgett Health Service, part of Western NSW Local Health District.

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the day-to-day management of services, workforce performance, resource allocation and service delivery — ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centred care for the Walgett community.

About the role

As Health Service Manager, you will:

·         Lead and support nursing, clinical and non-clinical teams through performance management, supervision and professional development

·         Oversee operational planning, rostering, workforce profiles and skill mix to deliver safe and effective services within budget

·         Drive quality improvement, change management and service development in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

·         Ensure compliance with National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards, NSW Health policy and industrial frameworks

·         Build on the current positive, resilient workplace culture in a complex rural health environment

This role suits a confident leader who can balance clinical excellence, people leadership and operational accountability, while working closely with the community.
