About the role
The Caseworker will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments; developing treatment plans, report writing, advocacy skills, knowledge of trauma informed care and self care. The successful applicant will possess interpersonal skills, cultural competence and be an active listener.

The role also provides support, counselling and treatment to defendants with a drug and/ or alcohol issue, who have current legal matters in a Local Magistrates Early Referral Into Treatment (MERIT) Court and MERIT treatment area. 

This position is Monday – Friday from 8.30am – 5:00pm.


You will be working alongside 7 staff in the Court Diversion Program, who are dedicated, professional and client focused. The position will be supported by their clinical lead for clinical matters and operational managed by the MERIT Team Leader.

Performance development is supported through regular catchups and the implementation of a tailored training matrix. This matrix identifies individual and team learning needs, guiding professional development and enhancing service delivery capacity.
