About the role
The Director of Nursing & Midwifery - Bathurst Health Service is a pivotal executive leadership role, shaping the future of care delivery while providing strategic and operational leadership across nursing and midwifery services.

Reporting to the General Manager, the role ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centred care aligned with WNSWLHD priorities, community needs, and budgetary frameworks.

This position is instrumental in driving clinical governance, professional standards, workforce leadership, and a positive workplace culture, while playing a critical role in leading change to support the $200M Bathurst Hospital Redevelopment and the transformation of services, models of care, and patient experience.

Bathurst Health Service has an Emergency Department Level 4, Intensive Care Unit Level 4, Maternity services, Paediatrics services, 15 bed Surgical ward, 31 bed Medical Ward, Rehabilitation Unit onsite, and Transitional Aged Care Program (TACP) beds, large inpatient and outpatient Allied Health support and expanding Ambulatory Care and Hospital in the Home (HITH) services.
