About the role

We are looking for an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to work in the Residential Aged Care Facility. Assisting residents with daily living activities, including showering, toileting, and pressure area care. The Assistant in Nursing works as an integral part of a small, supportive, multidisciplinary healthcare team, working under the direction of the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) to support and provide quality care for patients.

We have a CNE on site one day per week and have regular site visits with regional educators and access to ongoing virtual education. There is opportunities for exposure to the acute setting and ED within the scope of practice.

This is a rotating shift work position, with supportive rostering to enhance the work/life balance.

Grenfell Multi-Purpose Service has 7 inpatient beds, 34 residential aged care beds and 1 emergency department bed. We are supported medically by our virtual services every fortnight and have a medical officer on call every other fortnight.  There is access to allied health, both virtually and on site.

Grenfell still has that small town feel with lots of friendly people and low crime rate. Visitors always comment about the positive rapport amongst staff.
