About the role
The Allied Health Assistant – Physiotherapy supports the Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology team in delivering quality services to patients admitted on acute wards in the Hospital including orthopaedic and geriatric units, as well as rehabilitation ward.

The Allied Health Assistant works to provide health care strategies to achieve health care goals and needs of the patient. The caseload is focused mainly on clinical duties but also contains nonclinical tasks such as ordering equipment, stocktaking, ensuring ward equipment is readily available, and more.

In addition to working with your colleagues in the acute service units, you will be part of the greater Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology department, with opportunities to participate in general department activities such as staff meetings, in-services and more.

Key skills to be successful in this role includes flexibility, communication skills, being able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, working under direction, as well as working independently to manage your duties and agreed clinical case load.

We are looking for a team member who can contribute to a positive and collaborative culture, be flexible and prioritise work tasks, and has good interpersonal skills.
