What you'll be doing
The Rheumatology Departments provides a consultative statewide service to outpatients at the Sydney Children's Hospital Network Randwick and Westmead and outreach services.

This role is a responsible position within the administration team, under the direct line management of the rheumatology team leaders, and the administration manager. The administration officer will be required to provide a consistently high level of administrative support to the rheumatology team while working under limited direction and guidance regarding work priorities. 

The administration officer is required to have excellent work ethics, flexibility, initiative and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and competing demands, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a busy administration team, and the ability to be open to constructive feedback. 

The position requires high-level problem-solving skills, excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills, good common sense and the ability to exercise sound judgement and logic, to use open communication and provide excellence in service delivery, whilst always maintaining confidentiality. 
  1. Motivated, enthusiastic, professional individual with superior organisation, time management, internal, leadership and external stakeholder management skills.
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people.
  3. Demonstrated high level data entry skills and knowledge.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, organising workload, setting priorities while maintaining excellence when faced with competing demands.
  5. Example of ability to use initiative and work autonomously and as part of a team.
  6. Example of ability to prioritise workload and ensure all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially word processing (including complex formatting) with fast and accurate typing skills.
  8. Ability to use initiative and exercise good judgement when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
