About the role
This is a permanent part time position for a Senior Social Worker working in the Older Person’s Mental Health Team (OPMHS) based on the Bloomfield Campus of Orange Health Service.
The Senior Social Worker will be expected to work closely with the medical, nursing and allied health clinicians that work within this unit. As well as providing support, guidance, and supervision to junior Social Work team members.
As the Senior Social Worker you will need to be able to complete psycho-social assessments in a timely manner and support patients receiving all types of medical intervention and treatment within the system.
In this role, you will be expected to have broad knowledge and understanding of external service providers such as My aged Care, NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the NDIS.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will be expected to participate in regular supervision and encouraged to take part in quality improvement projects. You will also be supported to undertake professional development opportunities.
