About the role
The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team providing nursing care to our local Eugowra community.
Eugowra Multi Purpose Service core business is Aged Care. We have 15 beds, 12 of these beds are for permanent residents with the remaining used for Respite Care and Palliative Care. We have a Walk in Health centre where we can assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries. If higher level of care is needed, we refer on so they receive the right care at the right place the first time.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse that demonstrates clinical knowledge and skills consistent with the standards of practice for a Registered Nurse, strong assessment planning, implementation and evaluation skills in providing person centred care, excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills, commitment to ongoing professional development, infection control and evidence based practice and the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team and support Endorsed Enrolled Nurses and Assistant in Nursing.
We have both permanent full-time or part-time positions available. This position is based on a rotating roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
The successful applicant will work in a compassionate team, focused environment that values respect, dignity and quality of life with a supportive management structure and welcoming workplace culture providing safe, high quality nursing care including medication administration, wound care and clinical assessments.
Rural nursing is nurse-led care, so nurses are a key part of the decision-making process for client care and have more influence on healthcare delivery.
Be part of a small and dynamic team of healthcare professionals delivering health services to our local Eugowra communities.
There is a comprehensive orientation program and access to ongoing clinical education with regular support from the Nurse Manager.
