About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to provide professional and operational leadership across nursing services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care. The successful candidate will lead and supervise nursing staff through performance management, clinical supervision, mentoring, and workforce development while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for developing and monitoring operational plans, managing budgets and resources, overseeing workforce allocation and staffing profiles, and ensuring compliance with professional standards and the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. In addition, the Nurse Manager will lead organisational change initiatives, support quality improvement activities, and contribute to the development and implementation of policies and evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
You will demonstrate proven leadership and management capabilities, including budget and resource management, a strong understanding of contemporary nursing and healthcare management issues, and the ability to support professional standards and staff development. Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with advanced information technology capabilities and experience in service planning, policy development, workforce management, and driving effective organisational change.
