This is an exciting opportunity to join the Substance Use in Pregnancy & Parent Program as a Health Clinician. The Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Service (SUPPS) clinician, will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person-centred specialist care, working in collaboration with clients/families/carers and multidisciplinary teams to achieve identified goals and outcomes. This role will provide services to women in Dubbo and the surrounding regions who are pregnant or caring for infants up to 2 years of age, who require assistance with Drug and Alcohol issues.

In this role, you will work closely with Maternity Services, Child & Family Strategy Services and the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service to provide specialist Drug & Alcohol Services to women who are pregnant or caring for an infant.

The successful applicant will take a trauma-informed approach and provide respectful, person-centred care, tailored to each individual’s needs. Central to your role will be conducting comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, case coordination and management and commitment to reflective practice, resilience and adaptability and ethical practice.

The position will maintain strong connections with the Senior Drug & Alcohol Team across Dubbo, Drug & Alcohol clinicians, Mental Health clinicians, Maternity services, Perinatal and Infant Mental Health services. and the broader Western NSW LHD region, ensuring alignment with best practices and regional priorities. Collaboration will also occur with other key service providers, both Government and Non-Government. These linkages support collaborative problem-solving and knowledge sharing across services.

Performance development is supported through regular catchups and the implementation of a tailored training matrix. This matrix identifies individual and team learning needs, guiding professional development and enhancing service delivery capacity.
