Being female is recognised as a genuine occupation qualification and is authorised under section 31(2h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we're enriching health, and develop your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia.
Achieve Something Great
Join us in leading South Western Sydney Local Health District’s response to NSW Domestic and Family Violence reforms. In this pivotal role, you will drive the Safer Pathway initiative and manage Safety Action Meetings (SAMs) to protect victims and their children at serious risk. You’ll coordinate integrated health responses, ensure compliance with legislation and ethical standards, and champion culturally respectful and equitable services for priority populations, including Aboriginal and CALD communities. Your work will shape policy, influence systemic change, and deliver better health outcomes for vulnerable families.
Are You the Right Fit?
We’re looking for a leader with advanced social work expertise and a strong commitment to improving lives. You’ll bring experience in managing complex processes, providing clinical supervision, and delivering workforce education. Your ability to develop policies, lead quality improvement projects, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interagency partners will be key to success. Strong communication and negotiation skills, cultural awareness, and a passion for equity and respect are essential to making a real impact in this role.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
1. Being female is recognised as a genuine occupation qualification and is authorised under section 31(2h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
2. A Social Work degree which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers(AASW)
3. Describe your experience in leading and managing complex projects within a health or social services setting. How did you ensure stakeholder engagement and achieve positive outcomes?
4. Provide an example of how you have worked in partnership with multidisciplinary and interagency stakeholders to support victims of domestic and family violence. What strategies did you use to ensure cultural respect and address the needs of priority populations?
5. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
