Bowral Hospital is located in the beautiful Southern Highlands, close to Sydney, Canberra and Wollongong and has recently moved into a new clinical services building with new purpose built inpatient wards and units.

- Bring strong professional qualities to every shift, using attention to detail, clinical judgement, active listening and clear communication to support patients, families and your multidisciplinary team
- Provide high‑quality, person‑centred care through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for medical, surgical and palliative care patients
- Apply broad, well‑rounded RN knowledge — from medication administration and documentation to infection prevention and recognising and escalating deterioration in line with NSW Health standards
- Grow and maintain a diverse clinical skill set in a mixed inpatient environment, offering variety and development beyond single‑specialty ward settings
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative ward culture by living the CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment while adapting confidently to changing priorities in a fast‑paced 24/7 service
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Describe a recent clinical situation in your specialty area where you provided safe, compassionate, culturally responsive care. In your response, outline how you used critical thinking, communicated with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team, and contributed to risk management or quality improvement.
Provide an example that demonstrates how you interact professionally with colleagues and patients, including how you manage conflict when it arises and ensure care needs are met effectively.
