The ideal candidate for the Emergency Department Registered Nurse role at Bowral Hospital is a critical thinker with a preference for prior critical care experience and the ability to deliver high‑quality care in a fast‑paced, unpredictable environment.
They demonstrate strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills, maintaining a calm, composed, and professional approach when caring for acutely unwell or distressed patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly, compassionately, and respectfully with patients, families, and colleagues, while working effectively within a multidisciplinary team that values collaboration and shared decision‑making.
The successful candidate will show adaptability and resilience, confidently managing changing priorities and clinical demands, alongside sound time management and prioritisation skills to ensure safe and timely patient care. A strong commitment to patient‑centred, safe, and high‑quality care aligned with best practice is essential, as is engagement in reflective practice and ongoing professional development.
