About The Role.
In the Cardiology Unit, you will be an integral part of a skilled team, delivering compassionate care to patients undergoing cardiac diagnostics, monitoring, and management. Working in this unit, you'll gain expertise in cardiac assessment, managing both acute and chronic cardiac conditions, and providing care in a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability and precision. The role involves shift work across days, evenings, and nights.

The Registered Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute cardiac care hospital setting, providing care for patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions, including practical skills and competencies you pocess. Please provide an example of a recent clinical situation where you applied your cardiac assessment and management skills to deliver high-quality care. How did you prioritise patient care, ensure safety, and collaborate with the healthcare team?
- Demonstrated ability to interact with and effectively communicate and engage with, patients/consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs and to personally resolve conflicts when they arise. Please provide an example of a recent interaction with a patient and family where you empower your patients to make lifestyle modifications to minimise risk factors for heart disease.
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care. Please provide an example of a recent clinical situation where you used your critical thinking skills and current clinical guidelines to provide evidence-based care to a cardiac Patient.
- Demonstrated understanding and participation in clinical risk identification and quality improvement in the workplace and a commitment to Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles, including safe manual handling, hazard identification, and incident reporting.h care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
